Price Disparity

There's always been a price disparity on goods in Canada compared to the prices for the same goods in the US. Now that the dollar has hit parity, Canadians are finally waking up to it. It's all over the news and people are talking about it, and more importantly, doing things about it.

I've been considering a Ford Escape Hybrid for a while now, and I just compared the price on http://ford.com vs http://ford.ca. Check it out:

The question Canadians are asking themselves is, "Is not having a Canadian warranty worth paying 25% more?".

Subaru lets you get your vehicle fixed at a Canadian dealer, and then submit that to Subaru in the US for reimbursement. This makes sense - a company shouldn't be able to use the tactic of denying you warranty to try to extract a 25% premium just for selling a vehicle in a different location.
