Fish Pirate Backfire
Two days ago I said we should Googlebomb Rory with "fish pirate". The result? Today I'm the #3 link on Google for Fish Pirate, and Rory is way down on the 2nd page. Sigh.
I wonder if this means Google doesn't put as much weight into link text and targets (the democratic nature of Google) as they used to? There are quite a few other links on Google's first few pages to people helping out in the same effort, but all that's happening is that those posts are making it up the ranking but the target isn't.
Or maybe I'm just a better fish pirate than Rory. Here, let's try this: fish. pirate. fishpirate. piratefish. pirate of fishes. fishy pirate. pirate fisherman.
