Vista Media Center Stuff
I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who's not impressed with the Media Center functionality in Vista. This post on The Green Button summarizes most of my complaints, but in addition I have one more, that annoys me more than any of these.
When I hit the "skip 30 second" or "skip back 7 second" button on my remote, with MCE 2005, it would *instantly* skip and continue playing video; with Vista, there's a delay of between 1 and 2 seconds before it shows video.
I'm running Vista on better hardware than I was running MCE on, so I don't know what happened. I really hope Media Center gets some help in SP1.
