Domain Names in Canada
I wish DNS was a little more centralized. I mean, it's cool that it's as distributed as it is because that's what makes it so reliable, but being in Canada, sometimes I want to register a .ca domain, and that means dealing with a different company. I use Yahoo! Domains in the US, mainly because they're a company I trust, but they don't sell Canadian domains.
I ended up using easyDNS because they're a name that I recognize, although I don't really know them from a hole in the ground. As long as they don't sell my domain name out from under me, though, I'm happy.
I don't have that kind of confidence in Network Solutions, the company that I originally registered domain names with. I'm still getting spam to an email address that I only used once - to register with Network Solutions - about 4 years ago. And the whole idea of backordering domains is just evil, in my opinion. It makes me uncomfortable knowing that it would be in their best interest to forget to remind me to renew my domain...
