Faster Server
I've been piling more and more work on my poor server for the last few years, and never really thought about the amount of RAM in it.. I checked it this morning and it had 256 meg of physical memory. Meanwhile it was swapping on almost every page view, and just generally not having a good time.
I plopped another 512mb PC133 DIMM in it (yes, it's that old) and now it's quite a bit zippier.
This is the machine that hosts The Long Tail, my blog, and a few other things.
