Flight Simulator X Activation
I picked up Flight Simulator X a while ago, installed it and Activated it. This hands Microsoft my Product Key, which they validate, and then unlocks the software.
I recently installed Windows Vista, and when I reinstalled Flight Simulator and went to Activate it, I assumed I’d be on the phone to Microsoft begging them to let me play my game – but instead the activation succeeded, no questions asked.
I don’t know why, but I’m happy that it did. Maybe they’re remembering the IP address of the previous activation, or the Mac address.. however they’re doing it, in my case, it worked out just fine.

mine didnt work my hard drive crashed and now it wont register when i put it on.

I installed the game back in Nov, it functioned for two days, then it wouldn’t function ” Version of FS X already installed remove from computer & reinstall.” I tried that then I reinstalled Windows XP three time? Same problem. I then went to the trouble of buying VISTA maked up a dual boot with XP & VISTA, stillwill not load. Stupid I thought the disks were damaged; I bought another copy Tried to reinstall, Same problem!!!! I called Microsoft for assistance ??? No one there has any real tools or background to help rectify??? Except to reinstall windows, I have done this 5 times, with the same result. Waiting for Microsoft to call and tell me where I can get my money back. This GAME has cost me a bundle of $$$ for other item to support it. I think that the game should be pulled off the shelf untill Microsoft has learned to correct the codes , and installation package I used to fly Real air craft, and never became as frustrated as I am now; over fifteen Teck reps. have me complete months of experiments to get the Prgm up and running. BUT STIIL HERE I SIT AWAITING yet another rep. with FS X
experience to assist Thru. Night???? What a program this could have been; Where is Microsoft when there is trouble??

I just installed Vista en FSX won’t run normal. I upgraded my nvidia drivers, but the problem remains… Vista sucks!

Vista is cool but it’s like a copy of mac…
I have Flight Simulator X and it won’t activate! Everytime i start FSX it asks me for the stupid product key then it doesn’t activate! After I HAVE to play the trial version which stinks 100%!

I have FSX Deluxe, and when I try to play it says,”Error activating,please contact product support for assistance”.(and here I am)

Microsoft is a total disgrace and rip off for doing this to its clients. Bought the Deluxe edition plus the accelaration add on and still won’t let me activate. I had a brand computer done just for gaming and paid lots of money, now having this problem, I asked if I needed internet, they said no, now it seems like I need to get a internet card in order to get wireless on that computer to see if I can activate this darn game.

I bought FSX delux and uploaded it, entered the code, and got the message “license authorization was unsuccessful.”
Uninstalled and re-installed it 4 times, same thing happend, and now I’m here trying to figure this out.

i bought a new pc and the try to installated the game but didnt work ……so what can i do ?

I think you should try to get the fsx standard edition ,then you ll have no problem in activating the superb game fx and it realy won’t be boring.

I got flight simulator x about a month ago, and then I just got the expansion pack and it says that i have to activate it before i install the expansion pack it sucks!!! and i dont know how to activate it cause i thought that i already did!!!!! please help me

I had FS X installed, it ran fine. Cleaned computer completely for different reason. Re-installed all programs including FS X and now also get message “Activation unsuccessful”. Really the pitts for us flying buffs…I think I’ll go back to the physical aircraft and fly using fossil fuels!

Does anyone out there actually know how to activate FSX? I have standard version for one year on one computer and a day old deluxe version with downloaded SP1 on another. I get the “activation unsuccessful” on both and no phone numbers displayed when I try that. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, no antivirus etc running, et.al.

having problem with activating my game i buy it 1 mont go flight simulator i paid $70.00
plus my office 2003 basic et came with computer dell but dell use to much hydro
so augost 10 2009 i buy IBM computer wich came with windows XP prow
windows XP ibuy it giust set here enather $ 170.00 for your enfomation july & augst i paid out
$70.00 FOR game windows XP prow$170.00 dell computer $300.00 IBM computer 169.00 total of $$809.00
if yo not activate my game i will send it back to you wich with fulle refond

This activation is bull s…. and very complicated, got FS X and acceleration pack but no way it activate, this sucks badly and how many poeple bought this game only to find out it wont activate?, many do not have internet and what now????? already re install and still nothing. I think we all should demand our many back if no sulution came up. only a waste of good mony…… please help if anyone can solve this!

This is a microsoft product, fsx. It is just like windows vista, a money grab. Those guys at microsoft just don’t have enough money so they keep putting junk out there for us suckers to buy and we get riped off and there is no resoultion. Makes those mac commercials look real good and totally relevant. I think I will buy a Mac!

I FOUND A SOLUTION!
Go to your fsx.exe in your Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder.
Right click. Click properties
Under the Compatability tab, uncheck “Run this program in compatability mode for:”
Click ok
Run the activation wizard again.

It is a bit strange you may want to call the microsoft customer support number and activate offline
