MSN Remote Record
I got MSN Remote Record set up so I can schedule TV recording now while I'm at work. It was an easy setup, and the web-based UI is better than I expected it to be. I'm used to Canada not being supported by Microsoft's web applications, but this time they did accept my funny looking postal code and gave me the correct listings.
One drawback to Windows XP Media Center Edition is that it doesn't verb very well. You can tell someone to Tivo a show and they get it; you can't really tell someone to Windows XP Media Center Edition it.
Tivo is becoming the defacto verb for recording a show on your PVR, although at some point Tivo will need to kick into trademark protection mode and try to put a stop to it. Still, it can't hurt your image too badly to become a household word.
