Toy Cars
You know how sometimes when you’re watching an action movie and you see a scene where it just looks like they used models?

To me, that photo looks like models. But it’s the real thing, the bridge collapse in Minneapolis. Maybe the movies got it right.

Just think, if the greedy, power mongers in Washington would put our tax dollars into our infrastructure we might avoid some more of this that is scheduled to happen. For instance, the bridge in Alaska that goes nowhere.

A lot of bridges were built in the 70s and 80s back when governments apparently had more money for this sort of thing, and now they need attention. It’s always possible to find an inspection that says “this bridge is fine”, which is apparently what happened here, but eventually, these things fail.
It’s a tough situation because nobody wants their taxes raised to pay for fixing these things, but it’s got to get done.
