I'm sort of a gadget geek too. The ones I've found most useful lately include:

-small portable speakers for my Ipod. They're not expensive but they work pretty well, and they fold up into about a 10 cm cube.
-my Roomba. I absolutely love it.
-the bluetooth connection between my RAZR and my Macbook. Not having to pay for transfering pictures and ringtones is a big bonus.
-my USB-powered beverage warmer. It's basically a hotplate, but an excellent place to put my coffee.
-my Clocky. You've probably heard of it- a robotic clock with wheels that runs away and hides when it goes off, forcing you to get up. It makes cute sounds and makes getting up much nicer.
-for sure Xbox 360. I don't own one (yet), but the ones I've used lately are fantastic.
-combination scanner/printer. I needed a scanner and a new printer, and both features work just fine on it.

I'm contemplating getting the iPod2Car interface. I've recently started commuting to Toronto three days a week. The combination of tunes, podcasts and books makes the iPod a very handy tool for the car!
