I FOUND A SOLUTION!

Go to your fsx.exe in your Microsoft Flight Simulator X folder.

Right click. Click properties

Under the Compatability tab, uncheck “Run this program in compatability mode for:”

Click ok

Run the activation wizard again.

This is a microsoft product, fsx. It is just like windows vista, a money grab. Those guys at microsoft just don’t have enough money so they keep putting junk out there for us suckers to buy and we get riped off and there is no resoultion. Makes those mac commercials look real good and totally relevant. I think I will buy a Mac!

This activation is bull s…. and very complicated, got FS X and acceleration pack but no way it activate, this sucks badly and how many poeple bought this game only to find out it wont activate?, many do not have internet and what now????? already re install and still nothing. I think we all should demand our many back if no sulution came up. only a waste of good mony…… please help if anyone can solve this!

having problem with activating my game i buy it 1 mont go flight simulator i paid $70.00
plus my office 2003 basic et came with computer dell but dell use to much hydro
so augost 10 2009 i buy IBM computer wich came with windows XP prow
windows XP ibuy it giust set here enather $ 170.00 for your enfomation july & augst i paid out
$70.00 FOR game windows XP prow$170.00 dell computer $300.00 IBM computer 169.00 total of $$809.00
if yo not activate my game i will send it back to you wich with fulle refond

Does anyone out there actually know how to activate FSX? I have standard version for one year on one computer and a day old deluxe version with downloaded SP1 on another. I get the “activation unsuccessful” on both and no phone numbers displayed when I try that. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, no antivirus etc running, et.al.

I had FS X installed, it ran fine. Cleaned computer completely for different reason. Re-installed all programs including FS X and now also get message “Activation unsuccessful”. Really the pitts for us flying buffs…I think I’ll go back to the physical aircraft and fly using fossil fuels!
