Well, it works.
A particular news article I just read is worth talking about (I'm not going to say what it was because that's not the point), and the blogosphere is talking about it. Is it better than Google News? Probably not, but it's an interesting alternate - rather than what newspapers are talking about, it's what individuals are talking about.
